Lee Radziwiłł, a style icon whose jet-setting ways gave her nearly as high a profile as her famous sister, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, has died at 85, WWD reports.
No cause of death has been given, and Radziwill was reported to have been in relatively good health recently.
Born March 3, 1933, as Caroline Lee Bouvier, the younger sister of one of America’s most beloved first ladies attempted an acting career in the late ’60s, but abandoned it when reviews for her stage and TV debuts were pans.

In the ’70s, she followed the Rolling Stones on tour with her sidekick, the acclaimed novelist and social butterfly Truman Capote, and was famed as a confidante of such figures as Pop Art legend Andy Warhol and ballet icon Rudolf Nureyev.

She worked as an interior decorator and, with great success, as a P.R. exec for Armani, but was more famous for her own persona, her wit, her storytelling, and her impeccably elegant style.

She told The New York Times in 2013, “There have been many things in my life to have regrets about, in the sense I wish I could have changed them, or somehow made them not happen. What I don’t have is envy. I’m perfectly content at this time of my life. I’ve done so many fascinating things and the greatest joy is that I continue to do interesting things and meet fascinating people.”
Radziwiłł married three times — to publisher Michael Canfield, a marriage that was annulled by the Roman Catholic Church; to Polish aristocrat Stanislaw Radziwill, a union that ended in divorce but that bestowed upon her the title of Her Serene Highness Princess Stanisław Albrecht Radziwiłł; and to director Herbert Ross, to whom she remained wed until immediately before his death in 2001.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina Radziwiłł. She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Radziwiłł, who died of testicular cancer in 1999 just one month after his cousin John F. Kennedy Jr., Kennedy’s wife Carolyn Bessette, and Bessette’s sister Lauren Bessette died in a plane Kennedy had been piloting.
