Metro Exodus PC System Requirements: Minimum and Recommended

Metro Exodus is due to release in just a few days’ time, on the 15th of February; a date it actually shares with Far Cry New Dawn. Publisher Deep Silver is confident that Exodus won’t lose out to the next Far Cry instalment, despite the two games’ simultaneous launches. Although the publisher’s recent decision to make the game exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC has been widely unpopular, many PC gamers are still undoubtedly planning to pick up the game. Certainly, the Metro author, Dmitry Glukhovsky, has urged aggrieved gamers to give it a chance despite its launch solely on an unpopular platform.

As such, PC gamers planning to pick up Metro Exodus will need to know that their computers will be able to run it without any problems. Fortunately, although the game is quite sizeable at 59 GB, the minimum requirements are fairly accessible. Of course, as most PC gamers will likely meet those without much issue, the recommended requirements are much more relevant. These requirements are significantly higher, although the game’s graphics can of course be pushed higher still. Given that the game will feature both ray tracing and DLSS support, players hoping to experience the game at its full graphical potential may wish to opt for the RTX 2060 NVIDIA graphics card option. These are currently the only cards capable of utilising ray tracing.
